- Olde Towne Auto Repair
|
|
| Brought my truck in for brakes grinding - really bad. I am not ignorant of auto mechanics, but I am pressed for time, so I asked OTAR to make the repair. Got a call that nothing was wrong, just a little rust on the rotors that would rub off eventually. I was dubious, asked the caller to drive it to make sure, because it sure sounded like metal-on-metal to me. No call back, caused me to call. Same story, so I picked up the truck and paid $50+ for a state inspection and diagnostics. The next day, I had a catastrophic failure of the right front brakes. Almost couldn't stop at an intersection. I check it out and find the inside pad is gone with the rotor shot to hell. My brakes obviously weren't checked by a competent mechanic or he or she was having a very bad day... Took it to another mechanic who fixed it same day. I sure was steaming, but decided to let it pass and just not come back to OTAR. But, then you asked for my feedback. |
